WHAT IS JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF GREATER ST. LOUIS?
Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis (JASTL) is the fifth largest JA Worldwide operation in the United States. We educate young people about work readiness, entrepreneurship, and personal finance with hands-on, engaging programs.

PURPOSE
Our purpose is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.

PROGRAM REACH
JA of Greater St. Louis reaches over 136,000 students per year in over 6,000 classrooms and afterschool locations. JA programs are taught by volunteers in inner cities, suburbs, and rural areas in eastern Missouri and southwestern Illinois. Click here for our 2010-11 school year highlights.

VOLUNTEERS
JASTL’s more than 7,700 classroom volunteers come from all walks of life and include business people, college students, parents, and retirees. These dedicated individuals are the backbone of the organization. These volunteers have delivered programs in 45 counties served by JASTL.

PROVEN SUCCESS
JA is one of a few global nonprofits to use independent, third-party evaluators to gauge the impact of its programs. Since 1993, independent evaluators have conducted studies on JA’s effectiveness. Findings prove that JA has a positive impact in a number of critical areas. Click here to see some of the evaluation results.
