Lou Fusz, Jr. was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1947. He grew up in a family with 10 brothers and sisters. From this beginning, Lou learned to love children. He graduated from St. Louis University High School and Georgetown University. In 1969, he entered the auto business with his father. They grew the business from one dealership to fifteen in the next thirty five years. In 1969, he also married Corinne Whitelaw and they had five children. The children are now in business with their father. In 1989, Lou received the Time Magazine Quality Dealer of the Year Award. In 1972, he received the Sports Illustrated All Star Dealer Award. In 2003, General Motors awarded him the “Champion of Life” Award and in 2005 Junior Achievement bestowed upon him the national “Gold Leadership Award”. Throughout his business career Lou Fusz, Jr. has focused his community service on organizations that help children. Some of these organizations are Junior Achievement, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Boy Scouts, and Ranken Technical College. He strongly believes in giving back to the community.
