From a very early age, everyone close to Michael Victor Roberts knew he had an entrepreneurial “flame.” Even without encouragement from his father, Victor Roberts, a U. S. Postal Service Supervisor who later joined his sons’ business as CFO, and his mother, Delores Talley Roberts - a teacher; young Mike was a child who would create “a lawn service” (cutting grass) in his North St. Louis neighborhood, a snow removal service (shoveling sidewalks), and newspaper routes with a loyal following of neighborhood kids. Michael was always
looking for innovative ways to expand his “parents allowance.” Born in St. Louis, MO, October 24, 1948, Mike attended St. Louis Public Schools, Lindenwood College, and prior to graduating at St. Louis University School of Law, studied at The Hague Academy of International Law. He set out to serve his community in both public service and private entrepreneurship. Mike served on the St. Louis Board of Aldermen from the 19th Ward for eight years with his brother Steven from the 20th ward. They made national history as two brothers under the age of 30 serving on a major city council in the United States. Michael immediately knew he wanted to pursue serving the public further as a “hard core capitalist” by creating employment opportunities in underserved communities. He and his brother Steven have grown their businesses to include the following divisions: retail and residential real estate development, radio and television broadcast properties, wireless communications and telecommunications company, hospitality services management and business development consulting. He reflects on his entrepreneur philosophy in his best selling book “Action Has No Seasons – Strategies and Secrets to Gaining Wealth and Authority.”
